Good Friday Liturgy – I Lay Down My Life

This Good Friday service was designed around the juxtaposition of Psalm 23 with the Passion narrative of Jesus Christ, using selected Scriptures and poetic readings with opportunities for congregational response.

“From right hand of God to earthly pasture,
You keep watch over Your flocks by day and by night.
I am Yours and You are mine,
O Shepherd of my soul, for
You became a blood sacrifice for me.
In this laying down of Your life,
I am lifted up to say:
